Homes nestled in heavily wooded environments face unique roofing challenges, including heavy shade, falling debris, and accelerated moisture retention that often leads to hidden wood decay. This residential property required a comprehensive Dry Rot Repair and Roof Shingle Installation in Foresthill, CA to address these exact issues. The project involved navigating a roof with varied pitches ranging from 2/12 to 7/12. A simple overlay was not an option; the home demanded a complete tear-off to expose and replace deteriorating structural components before a new, weather-tight shingle system could be installed.

Our team prioritized strict safety protocols from the moment we arrived on site, installing heavy-duty roof anchor brackets directly into the decking to secure our technicians' safety ropes and harnesses as they navigated the steep pitches. We initiated the project with a complete first layer disposal, tearing off the degraded shingles and compromised felt to expose the bare wood deck. Throughout this phase, we maintained continuous material pickup and disposal to ensure the property remained clean and hazard-free.

Once the underlying structure was exposed, we identified significant moisture damage along the roof's perimeter and decking. Our crew executed precise fascia dry rot repair, removing the decayed wood and replacing it with fresh lumber to restore the structural integrity of the eaves. Simultaneously, we performed essential re-sheeting over the compromised areas of the deck, creating a solid, flat foundation. With the structural repairs completed, our harnessed technicians rolled out a high-performance synthetic roof underlayment across the entire surface, establishing a formidable secondary moisture barrier against the forest climate.

"We take pride in offering Foresthill home owners honest, reliable roofing solutions. Not every roof issue can be solved with a quick fix—sometimes, a complete structural tear-off and thorough dry rot repair is the smartest, safest, and most cost-effective move for the long-term health of your home."
